Terms and Conditions for ‘Haslemere Fringe Rising’ Battle of the Bands Competition 2026.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to bands of all ages. Participants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to enter.
- All band members must be available to perform on the specified dates.
- Entrants must reside within the local area or be able to travel to the competition venues.
Entry Submission
- To enter, applicants must complete the online entry form and submit all required details by the stated deadline.
- Each band can enter only once; duplicate entries will be disqualified.
Performance
- Performances should be original, with appropriate licensing where necessary.
- Each band will have a set time limit as specified in the audition guidelines.
- The organisers reserve the right to disqualify acts that do not adhere to the rules or behave inappropriately.
Selection Process
- Entries will be judged by a panel of industry professionals based on musicianship, stage presence, originality, and audience engagement.
- The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes
- Prizes are as stated in the official competition promotion and are non-transferable.
- Winners will be announced after the final performance and notified via email.
Rights and Media
- By entering, participants grant the organisers the right to record, photograph, and use footage of their performances for promotional purposes without compensation.
- Participants agree that their name, image, and band details may be used in promotional materials.
GDPR and Data Privacy
- Personal data collected from under 18 applicants will be processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Parental/guardian consent is required for participants under 18, and parents/guardians may request access to their child’s data.
- Data collected will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition and communicating with participants.
- Data will be securely stored and not shared with third parties without prior consent unless required by law.

Liability
- The organisers are not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the competition. Participants enter at their own risk.
General
